San Francisco's innovative alternative to creative writing instruction
with Thea Sullivan, MFA, MAT

With the help of Thea's classes, I've fallen in love, not just with the results, but with the actual act of writing.  Anyone who sees his or her writing life as a journey should take a class with her - she makes each step joyful and exciting.

Why so few class offerings?

The Intuitive Voice is still mostly on hiatus, with Thea mostly at home with her young son; hence no additional classes until further notice. However, she is accepting coaching and editing clients on a limited basis. And you can still join the mailing list (just click "Mailing List Sign-Up" in the menu above) and get updates about future plans and offerings once they're available.

Thea's class offered a structure, accountability, guidance, encouragement, a supportive environment, and inspiration for me to complete a piece of writing that I may never have finished, let alone had the courage to start.

Thea’s Intuitive Voice class is brilliant.  It gave me a safe place to break away from the isolation of my solitary writing practice and flourish.  The class felt like joining a supportive chorus.  Hearing many different voices actually helped me define and enhance my own voice—not lose it.  Thea’s an excellent conductor—I actually ‘sang’ better with the group than alone!

Who would have thought that an online writing workshop could be such a rich experience? I had long believed classes on the Internet were a very pale version of ‘real classes.’ I now think I was very wrong about that.  —Leslie Goldberg

It REALLY does not seem possible to have created such a sense of connection and involvement in a relatively short-lived class.  Thank you, Thea, for the sheer gift you shared with all of us of enjoying writing!  Your grace in writing and your clarity in talking about writing was a weekly gift—as was the 'space' you provided for all of us!  Online class concept deserves an A+. —S.W.
